This DGD-120P tape works using the helical scan technology and use HESA (High Energy Stabilized Alloy) technology as the tape formulation. HESA is a metal particle technology with improved crystal structure and corrosion resistance which assures lower error counts and higher archival stability. Therefore these Sony DGD-120P DDS-2 tapes can last for a minimum of 1000 passes.
